Ordering custom packaging is hard when you can’t hold it first. Colours look different on screen, paper weight is impossible to judge from a product photo, and a finish like soft-touch lamination only really makes sense once it’s in your hand.
We get the hesitation, and we know some people prefer seeing packaging samples before committing to a print run.
That’s why Custom Pack Studio offers three ways to sample our packaging, so you can pick whichever suits where you are in the process:
- A free unprinted sample, made to your sizes – A plain, unprinted version of your box in your exact dimensions, so you can check the structure, the stock and the fit. This sample is at no cost to you.
- A printed sample of your own artwork – Your actual design printed in full, so you can see exactly how your colours translate. There’s a small charge for this and this will depend on your chosen artwork.
- A curated sample pack – A selection of our paper stocks, lamination finishes and box styles to hold and compare. The pack itself is free with a small fee to cover delivery.
A custom packaging sample lets you check the things that matter most: how your colours translate to print, how the paper stock feels, whether the box structure suits your product, and whether the finish you’ve chosen does what you want it to.
If anything needs adjusting, you can tweak the artwork before going to production. Whichever you choose, it arrives at your door, ready to help you make an informed decision.
You’ll only need print-ready artwork for the printed sample. If you haven’t designed anything yet, you can start with a free unprinted sample to check the size and structure, build your packaging using our online design tool, or work with our team on a design consultation first.
Either way, we’re happy to guide you through as much of the process as you need. Some clients prefer to do it themselves, while others prefer our packaging experts to assist them through the process, the choice is entirely yours.
