There is no minimum order on anything we make, and we deliver nationwide, so you can order a single box to start or scale to a full production run.
What custom packaging does for a product
The board protects the product through the courier network, so it arrives intact. Because the box is cut to the product, there is no loose space to pad out, and a UK business ships every order with less void fill and less transit damage. Printed across every panel, the box also carries the brand the whole way to the customer.
A printed box is also the one piece of marketing that reaches the customer along with the product. For an online brand it is often the only physical thing the customer handles from the business, so the print and the fit are worth getting right.

The custom printed boxes and packaging we make
A growing UK business usually needs more than one format of packaging. We make all of the formats below to bespoke sizes, printed in full colour with your design, and our team will help you match the format to how the product is sold and shipped.
Custom printed mailer boxes
The mailer box is the standard format for orders shipped to customers. It folds from a single piece, locks shut without tape, and holds the product steady through the courier network. You can print the outside, and the inside too, so the box a customer opens carries the brand rather than arriving blank.
Product and retail cartons
For products sold in shops, a printed carton is what the customer picks up. A reverse tuck-end carton suits lighter items such as cosmetics, supplements and confectionery, and a crash-lock carton has a base that locks flat to take heavier products. Both are printed across every panel and cut to fit the product inside.
Corrugated shipping boxes in single and double wall
Heavier and bulkier orders ship in corrugated boxes, and the board grade is the choice to make. Single wall is light and cost-effective for most goods. Double wall adds a second fluted layer for fragile or heavy items, and for anything that has to survive pallet stacking. Shipping boxes can be printed too, so even transit packaging carries the brand.
Gift boxes
Products bought as gifts go in gift boxes, whether rigid boxes, magnetic-close boxes or folding gift cartons. Finishes such as foil, embossing and soft-touch coating change how the box looks and feels. For seasonal ranges, branded tissue paper and printed wrapping paper add to the presentation without needing a heavier box.
Sleeves and wallet boxes
A sleeve is a printed band of card that wraps a product or an inner tray, adding branding to packaging you already use, and it suits multipacks, bundles and short promotions. A wallet box folds shut around flat or slim products such as cards, prints and thin accessories, and gives a neat, premium presentation.
Tape, tissue, bags and packaging supplies
Custom packaging tape, branded tissue paper, printed labels, paper bags and mailing bags are the packaging supplies that finish an order. They put the brand on plain outers and on packaging you already hold. Adding them is an affordable way to stay consistent before you move to fully printed boxes.
No minimum order quantity
Most packaging suppliers will not print a custom run below 500 or 1,000 units, and for fully custom work the figure is often higher. For a UK business launching or trialling a product, that is money committed to stock and storage before the product has proved itself.
We set no minimum order on anything we make. You can order a single box, fifty for a product launch, or several thousand for a national rollout. Pricing scales with the quantity, you get a written quote at any size, and reorders run on the same artwork, so small businesses and startups can buy custom packaging on the same terms as established brands.
Before a bulk order, you can ask for a printed sample or a sample pack of formats, and check the print, the colour and the fit in your hand. It is a low-cost way to confirm the specification is right before you scale up.
Custom packaging for every industry
We make custom packaging for businesses across most UK industries. What a sector needs varies, from food-contact safety to the finish a premium product calls for, so the formats and materials change with it.
Food and drink
Food and drink brands need packaging that is safe in contact with the product. We hold BRC Global Packaging certification at High Hygiene level, so our food cartons, takeaway boxes and drinks packaging are made under controlled, traceable conditions. UK retailers check for that certification before they list a product.
Health, beauty and cosmetics
We print cosmetics and skincare cartons with finishes such as spot UV, foil and textured coating, and build in fitments so fragile glass and compacts travel without damage. On a shelf, that finish is part of what sets one beauty product apart from the next.
E-commerce and subscription brands
We make branded mailer boxes and printed inserts for e-commerce and subscription brands. For an online brand the box is the main physical contact the customer has, and a box cut to the product reduces damage and the cost of returns.
Retail and consumer goods
We make retail cartons, shelf-ready packaging and display formats for consumer goods sold in shops. Each is printed to stand out on a shelf and built to come through the supply chain without scuffing.
Jewellery, gifts and accessories
For smaller products, from jewellery to fashion accessories and giftware, we make compact rigid boxes and printed sleeves. Packaging at this size has to protect a small item and present it well, since the box is part of what the customer is paying for.
Design support for your packaging
Design support is part of the service. You can come to us with finished artwork, with brand guidelines, or with nothing more than a logo and an idea.
If you have print-ready artwork, you can upload your design and we set it up for the press, checking the colours and resolution hold on board. A new product starting from scratch is fine too: our designers work out the structure, the layout and the print-ready files with you.
Our presses hold colour accurately across a full run, so a reorder matches the original. You can print every panel, inside and out, and finish the box with foil, embossing or a soft-touch coating.
To see a box before you order it, our online design tool builds it in 3D so you can apply your branding, and a design consultation is there if you would rather talk the options through with the team.
Sustainable and recyclable by default
Every box we make is 100% recyclable and produced from sustainable materials. We are FSC and PEFC certified, so the cardboard and paperboard trace back to responsibly managed forests, and the board is accepted in kerbside recycling across the UK.
Producing in Scotland keeps the delivery footprint lower than importing packaging from overseas. We avoid plastic coatings that would stop a box being recycled, unless food safety calls for them, and the facility works to the ISO 14001 environmental standard. Where a brand wants to show that on the box, FSC and PEFC logos can be printed into the design.
One UK packaging supplier, delivered nationwide
We make the full packaging range in one place. Boxes, mailers, cartons, sleeves, tape and tissue all come from a single supplier, on one artwork file and one schedule. A brand that sources each format from a different supplier carries a separate account, lead time and invoice for every one.
UK delivery covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with most orders dispatched two to three weeks after proof approval. Our parent company, KennedySmith (Press) Ltd, has manufactured print and packaging since 1997, and the boxes are made in-house by that team, so a UK brand has decades of production behind the order and one point of contact for it.

Custom packaging UK FAQ
What types of custom packaging do you offer?
We make mailer boxes, product and retail cartons, corrugated shipping boxes, gift boxes, sleeves and wallet boxes, plus custom printed tape, tissue paper, labels and bags. Every format is fully customisable in size, print and finish, and you can browse the full packaging range online.
Why choose custom packaging instead of standard boxes?
A standard box comes in a fixed range of sizes, so it rarely matches a specific product. Custom packaging is built to the item: it cuts transit damage and void fill, and it carries your branding so every order does some marketing for you. For most growing brands, it pays for itself.
Can I order custom packaging as a small business?
There is no minimum order, so a small business or startup can order exactly what it needs, whether that is one box or a few thousand. You are not priced out by a minimum run, and you can scale up whenever you are ready.
How do I get a quote for custom packaging?
Call us or send the online form with your product details, the format you have in mind, and rough volumes. A written quote follows, with no obligation and nothing hidden in the pricing. If you are not certain which format the product needs, say so and the team will work it out with you before quoting.
Do you deliver across the whole of the UK?
We deliver custom packaging to businesses across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Production runs from our facility in Irvine, and most orders are dispatched within two to three weeks of proof approval.
How do I design packaging for a new product?
Start with the product dimensions and how it will be sold and shipped, since that decides the format. From there, our team can take a logo and a rough idea through to print-ready artwork, or you can build the box in our 3D design tool. Design support is included.
Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?
We can produce a printed sample, and a sample pack of formats, so you can check the print quality, the colour and the construction in your hand. It is a low-risk way to confirm the custom packaging is right before you commit to a bulk order.
Is custom packaging worth it for small businesses?
For most small businesses, it is. Packaging that fits the product cuts damage and void fill, and a printed box does some marketing on every order it goes out on. With no minimum order, you buy custom packaging at a volume that matches your sales.
